Tonight, Thursday August, 8, 2019, President Steve Shears of Local 314 and Attorney/Sr. Staff Representative Nicole Barnard will be testifying at the meeting of the House Oversight Committee at the Rhode Island State House. Despite two years of hard work, only minimal improvements in security have been implemented at the Rhode Island Training School and safety is still a major concern.
We want our members to be safe at work!!! No one should go to work in fear for their health and well being. Please join us tonight in a show of support and solidarity for our Brothers and Sisters of Local 314. The House Oversight Committee will be meeting in Room 101 at the Rhode Island State House starting at 4:30 PM.
