Walter Hartley is the Municipal Vice President.  He was first elected to the RI Council 94 Executive Board in 2018 and then elected as Municipal Vice President in 2022. 

Municipal Vice President Hartley is a 21 year union employee of Local 1651 with the City of Warwick, assigned to the Police Prosecution Division as it’s Senior Clerk.  For his first 5 years of employment he worked in the City of Warwick’s Communication Center as a Dispatcher.  Municipal Vice President Hartley has been a very active and vocal member of Local 1651 as a Shop Steward, Vice President, and their most recent past President.  He continues to work for the better good of his union members in the city as well as now throughout the state. 

He is very active with his Church as the Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus.  He also serves as President of the Rhode Island State Grange as well as his Community and County Granges and Leader of his Community Junior Grange.  Volunteering and giving back to the community is how he was raised and what he has instilled in his children.  He is truly a family man, married to his wife, Danielle, with 3 daughters and 2 granddaughters.
