On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the brand new Indigenous Veterans Memorial. Charles “Snow Bear” Smith, Jr. had worked tirelessly for many years to make this happen.

Congratulations to Vicki Ansley on her retirement. Vicki has been a state employee since 1990 in most recent years as a property control and supply officer at the University of Rhode Island. Vicki has been an active member of Local 528 for many years.
